Star Wars®: Empire At War App Reviews

Totally fun game. Hours of play, however since I installed El Capitan it has not worked. A status bar stating verifying Empire at War starts then nothing happens. Anybody else having this issue?

I would walways play this game when I was a kid. Now after redownloading it, it’s still fun. NOw there is an issue. With the new Mac update it won’t allow the game to load. IF YOU GUYS ARE STILL AROUND PLEASE MAKE A QUICK UPDATE!!! -Your fans

I LOVE THIS GAME.I love the FXs and the character animation.I really like the Rebels when they defend the galaxy from the Empire which used to be the Republic.The Empire is really cool by having the most powerful weapon yet…The Death Star.So get down (on your seat in the death star ion laser),turn up some music (Imperial March),and grab a snack (sarlacc tenticals on a stick) and prepare to fight the Rebelion in EMPIRE AT WAR!!!

I love this game to death, but when I switcehd from PC to mac I noticed that the expansion was not available, which is one of my favorite parts about the game, so if they are still updating this, please add it!

Love the game but we all need the expansion to forces of corruption as either an in game purchase or a new aplication. Thank you

People would pay for the Forces of Corruption expansion. Why not give the fans what they want?

While the game is excellent and an honorable effigy for the Star Wars franchise, the support offered by Aspyr is simply horrendous. There is little to zero mod support, no expansions, and now there is a rather horrible issue wherein the app itself refuses to launch because of Aspyr’s blatant and flippant ignoring of the problem and shuffling the issue off to Apple as they are too inept to actually do anything about the issue themselves. Do not buy from Aspyr. They are the equivalent of Electronic Arts in the Mac gaming world.

I have to admit that this game does have a few glitches that happen rarely but still piss me off when they happen. I recomended just saving your game every chance you get. I also found that some of the buttons on the bottom don’t work, but their abilities can be unlcoked by doulbe clicking with the mouse. I learn new tricks everytime I play. You just have to play around with it. I am a huge star wars fan and this game really reflects the whole star wars experience from Episode 4 and up. The one thing that would have to say would really improve the game is if the added a mode for the republic. Honestly I like the prequel movies more than the originals and I would love to be able to play as the clones and the Jedi. I noticed that there are mods that can rewrite the programing of this game and make a Republic version but I don’t trust them enough. It would be amazing if the makers added a Republic and Confederate mode. Even if it was another game, I would still spend another 20 bucks for it. At first I thought that buying this game would be a mistake but it has really proven its worth to me. When my parents take away my PS4, this game really steps in to fill the gap. I hope you all found this useful.

Always been a fan of this game and bought it for myself recently on a MacBook Pro. Opens less than it runs, wish it was still supported to have bugs worked out of it. Awesome game though. 10/10 game, just wish it ran better.
